Welcome to Animaburg Rp. I'm sure you have read the plot already so here are a few things to know.
1) Treat others how you want to be treated. Welcome members and guests alike, be kind, and display respect to all. Do not cause havoc over the site or start unnecessary drama. Keep cussing/cursing to a minimum. No racial slurs. This site is rated PG-14, so there should be absolutely no nudity, (and only sexual innuendos if given and taken in a joking manner). Please, do not shy from asking any questions... whether it be regarding the site, the series, or if you're new to roleplaying. There is no such thing as a dumb question, and there is bound to be someone to help you out.
If you're going to join, do not just join and then drop off the face of the Earth. We want members who will come online frequently. We want members to be active, post, roleplay, and have fun. If you're going to be gone for a period of time, post here and let us know before you leave.
This roleplay is slice of life with slight action. While we love excellent post that can span the course of a ten minute read, but there are times when a one liner tells more than a whole page. However if all you post are one liners, the times they are appropriate loose their punch, so As a guideline we like to keep post about 200 words or more.
To avoid confusion, I would also like to see your best grammar and correct spelling, as well as justifiable forms of punctuation. It's okay if you mess up every now and again -- that's understandable; just don't make it a constant. Dialogue should be in "quotations", in a certain colour, or bold, while thoughts should be in italics or 'like this'. Anything other than this, and Staff will remind you of this rule. If you overlook the warning and reminder we have given you, be aware that we have the right to go into your roleplay posts and change how the dialogue and thoughts are layed out so that it applies to these rules.
Out Of Character conversations, or OOC, during roleplay should be in some form of bracket or parenthesis to set it apart from your roleplaying post: { }, [ ], or ( ).
This roleplay is in liquid time. In other words, you can have your character in more than one thread at a time, all of them happening within the same time-stream or before/after another. The only threads that are fixed points are the ones that directly relate to or are a part of the plot. Plot Threads are only supplied by the Staff, should move a bit quicker than normal threads, can seem a bit disorganised, and point to a certain goal or objective that will put everyone one step further in the game. Regarding your own threads, however, only 4 or 5 characters can join in one thread at a time. 6, only if you ask permission from a staff member first. Remember that you may only join an open thread if it has 5 posts or less . After 5 posts have been submitted to the thread, and there is room for another character, then please ask the creator of the thread if your character may join in before doing so. If the thread is private and has tags, you must request permission from the thread creator before joining. Both private and open threads should follow precedent posting order, though. And... don't outdo or stress yourself -- make sure you only create and reply to as many threads as you can handle.
No spamming. Post in the correct board for everything. Adverts go in the "Advertising" board, affiliates in the "Affiliating" board, questions go in the "Questions" board, etc. If you're new to the site and don't know where to post something, PM a staff member or ask someone in the Chatbox, or post in the "Questions" board -- we'll help you. This also calls for the rule of no double-posting, as it is annoying and can get out of hand. The "Modify" button is there for a reason -- if you'd edited your post, put what you changed/added in bold or notify us in the Chatbox.
Characters cannot and do not have the power of God. They have weaknesses and insecurities just like you and I, and every other person. Even Goku and Superman have insecurities and weaknesses that make them at least semi-human. So, honestly, No Mary-sues/Gary-stus. All characters have no actual powers, they are just human actors who play a role.
These rules also apply to power-playing and god-modeling. There shall be none of it. While you may attempt or hint to do something to someone else's character, you cannot actually puppet someone else's character without their consent. Control your characters and your characters alone.
Do not create a new account for each character you play. We use Alters on this site. Your account should be your Chatango name. When your character is approved, the staff will make an alter for you to use.
Drama and suspense and tension in-character is good. Just don't take it personally.
Fighting/Violence in between characters is acceptable. Remember the power-playing and god-modeling rules. Be fair -- win some, lose some. And, no gore scenes! No controlling someone else's character without their consent.
Profanity in-character is allowed, too. Swearing like "hell", "damn", "shit", and "ass" are alright, but don't drop any f-bombs, please.
Everyone starts with a blank slate of five chances. During your first two violations of rule-breaking, you will get warnings. If you break the rules a third time, we have the right to strip away your most active character or a canon character. If you break the rules a fourth time, we will take all of your characters away from you and ban you from the site for a month. On your fifth and last offense, you will be banished and banned from this site forever, never to return.
So, my advice to you is to try to stay with the plot and obey the rules, even if you have to read them a million times to remember them. This also implies the C-box rules. Listen to Staff at all times, fore we are the rulers of this roleplay, and we hereby declare that we are able to add or remove rules as we wish.
